Lego robot automates the burning of many CDs

Oh, what can't you do with Lego...

This clever project turns ordinary Lego bricks, along with a good amount of electronic wizardry, into an automated CD (and presumably, DVD capable) burning machine.

Many of the commercial CD duplicators that you can buy for small office use are based upon an HP inkjet printer that's been modified. That's neat, but it really lacks the "nerd cool" that this device offers. Of course, to be honest, there is quite a bit of non-Lego stuff in this project including plywood, stainless steel slide rails, and other supporting stuff. It all comes-together rather nicely, though, and I only wish there was a video to see it in motion...
