An assortment of microcontrollers
If you're wondering how to select a microcontroller for your next project, this guide might be helpful.

Continuing on my mini-trend of microcontroller-centric posts, this one will hopefully help beginners navigate the complex world of modern microcontrollers. Using the How to choose a microcontroller guide, you will be walked through the process of choosing which architecture you need and what on-board peripherals such as ADCs and Capture/Compare blocks you'll need/want. The guide concentrates on the Microchip PIC, Atmel AVR, ARM, Moto 68HC and the venerable 8051 compatible family.
